Course Overview:
This course is designed to introduce students to the area of international business with a special focus on managerial implications. It starts with globalization and continues with an exploration of the country differences in terms of political economies and culture. Then it will introduce the international trade theories and identify the national competitive advantages. Last, it will examine the impact of the dynamic environment of global business on the structure and human resource management of international business.
The course will employ a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, case studies, videos and projects to deepen your understanding of the subject. Although the activities will vary, the objective will always be the same: to improve your understanding of international business and its implications on management.
