The wireless sensor network system is now becoming possible thanks to the development of the wireless communication and embedded micro-sensing technology the last recent years. Sensor networks are currently an active research area mainly due to the potential of their applications. The wireless sensor networks are useful in many fields like environmental monitoring, indoor climate control, surveillance, medical diagnostics, structural monitoring, disaster management, emergency response, and ambient air monitoring. In this paper we will be discussing wireless sensor network environmental monitoring system as climate change represents the greatest environmental threat the planet is facing. This issue does not concern only the environmental field but has a great impact on the economy and the society. Therefore, the scientists see in the wireless sensor network, which can monitor environmental and physical conditions, such as temperature, pressure, vibration, humidity, motion and pollutants, an opportunity to be aware of the climate’s changes and be in a better position to control environmental issues.

The WSN models the effect of climate change by capturing and analyzing environmental data at the real time and analyze the effect of climate variability on plants and agriculture. Thus, allowing ecologists to establish the complex relationship between the natural actions and reactions of the nature. The sensor networks will revolutionize the monitoring and measuring ability of the ecologists who have been struggling with complex environmental data which changes constantly. However this technology constitutes a challenging new concept for the majority of the ecologists.
