Dirt Bikes would benefit from having an intranet because they would be able to communicate rapidly with their customers, employees, and suppliers. They could setup different types of networks, such as LAN (Local Area Network) or Wireless Networks through either desktop computers or wireless computers/hand held devices. This would allow that all computers in the company to be able to be connected, and share information with one another effortlessly. If the company were to get a sale, they would be able to transfer data from the amount of the product, and then when they get a sale they can transfer that data to figure out how much profit they gain from that sale. All the information would be available within the intranet system. It would be less time consuming and would be more cost efficient. All departments would be able to see this data whenever it is needed for processing. The accounting department can oversee the costs needed to provide the services and what profits would be accumulated after the sales. The Marketing team could see how well sales are doing and then see what marketing strategies could be done to produce more sales based on the current sale records. Dirt Bikes would be able to see what their profit margin is and be able to correlate how much they should produce to coincide with demand, because all the information would be available through their network system. Human Resources would be able to see how their sales and profit margins are doing and thus be able to determine whether more help is needed in the company, and to help speak with suppliers about what products need to be ordered and shipped.

Obviously, the use of the Internet itself would be mandatory. Dirt Bikes would benefit from creating a website that allowed future customers to see their products, and to post reviews. Also having the website, would allow customers to view the products before making any decision to...
