Introduction

The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a group of standardized tests which allow

students to earn college credits by taking a test instead of attending the actual classes. College

students who chose to CLEP, often CLEP subjects that they are passionate about, have extensive

knowledge in, or simply want to save time and money. A student can CLEP up to 33 exams,

most of which are usually covered in the undergraduate courses. These exams are carefully

prepared and modified each year by the College Board and can be taken at over 1,000 test

centers in United States and are accepted by most colleges. CLEP practice exams are offered by

the College Board as well as others reliable sources such as Research & Education Association

(REA), Petersons, or Crack the CLEP. The exams are usually formed of 120 questions and the

allowed time to complete the exam is 90 minutes. Based on reviews and feedback found on the

internet in regards to the best CLEP test reparation, I learned that REA was rated the highest and

I decided to give it a try.

Summary

The College-Level Examination Program offered by REA is divided in two parts. The first part

covers a summary of the History of the United States events as they happen from 1865 to

Present, and the second part covers the practice exams with answers.

The first part of the book includes the US historical events as they occurred beginning with the

Reconstruction and it includes 8 short Chapters. The events described under the reconstruction

addressed Johnson's Reconstruction Plan, which outlawed slavery and rejected secession and

prohibited certain groups of Southerners, The Congressional Reconstruction Plan with the 14th

and 15th Amendment, and the Reconstruction Act of 1867. Also...
