Checkpoint: Job opportunity map Description Position: Salon Management Beyond just being a stylist exists, managerial and upper supervisor positions. In preparing for a Manager Position you may take the role as Assistant to your manager and learn to prepare the skills needed for the position in management. Mangers are required to create successful Salons by encouraging energetic, friendly responsible stylist for staff recruitment and training, sales performance and growth, salon operations and implementing company policies. Supervisors have a role in opening new salons and may be required to temporarily manage new salon locations. Supervisors report to regional managers and salon director. In the growth process in the diagram that I created the salon has to start with a licensed stylist. In the process have succeeding and building a client base and after success with service sales and retail, the stylist may want to move to another position within the salon corporation and this would be salon manager. The salon stylist would need to have the momentum to want to progress and have success. The title of salon manager has many incentives offered including bonus of sales of her employees, her own 50 percent commission based on her own progress. The salon manager sets own goals and goals of the salon and going above and beyond these goals is given bonus incentives ,higher pay rate , bonus checks and salon bonus to employees that surpass goals. After having great success as a salon manger the person may want to progress their position to a regional manger or higher supervisor positions, such as area director.
