1) Identify the products of the SDLC phases.

System and projects priorities, data architecture, hardware, IS management are products that are produce in the planning stage. All so project work plan, system scope, high-level system requirements, assignment of team members, other resources, and system justification are part of the planning stage. Under products that are part of the analysis phase you have description of the current system, where problems or opportunities are located and a general recommendation on how to fix, enhance, or replace the current system, and an explanation of alternative systems and justification. In the design phase you have functional detailed specifications elements in the system, detailed specifications for all elements, and acquisition plans for new technology if needed. The Implementation stage is wear the code is provided, documentation, training procedures, and support capabilities are setup. Maintenance phase products list new versions of software with the information that is part of the update including documentation, training on new software and support for new and old software.

2) Identify the most common criteria for choosing off-the-shelf software. Which two criteria would be among the most important?

The most common criteria are cost, functionality, vendor support, vendor viability, flexibility, documentation, response time, and ease of installation. Vendor support and viability will be among the most important.
