When trying to decide where one would like to invest their hard earned money there are lots of things to consider. A good start would be to pick an industry that is thriving and trending in the economy today. The biggest money making industry today is technology. There are a few different companies that are great competitors when it comes to technology innovation and they seem to stay neck and neck and toe to toe with their new products and services.
Microsoft and Google would be two companies in the technology industry that could be compared to see which one would be the better investment. They are comparable in the products and services to an extent. They are competitors in the industry in some aspects. Their core businesses are a bit different. However, it can be seen that the leadership styles vary, and this could have an impact on their financial wellness. In the case of Microsoft versus Google for investments the financial statements and ratios are a good tool for deciding which would be the best investment. There are also guidelines that should be followed and researched before deciding where you would like to invest your money.
Google started out with an internet search engine as their core business. Throughout the years they have become quite innovative and began taking on new products and services to expand their business. Google has since created the Android platform for mobile phones that has entered the smart phone market and really excelled. “One of Google's biggest successes has been the Android platform for mobile devices” (Lamiman, 2011). Smart phones are the new wave of the future and the Android technology has become a part of that age. Google also offers free email services to anyone who wishes to use it. Their email is Gmail. It is quite popular as well.
