The article I choose was about global warming, which in turn is the topic of our environment. Our environment is in a great deal of danger. This article discusses just how serious global warming is and also how it is not being declared as serious as it truly is. Basically a group of people are inspired to travel across the country looking for ways to be inspired to create a film on global warming. Several instances occur where global warming stares these people straight in the face and other members of society brush it off to mean nothing, as if it were not affecting them. It also explains how too many people look at global warming as a problem for the future and not an existing problem for the present. Obviously this is completely false. Global warming is in front of us everyday. Whether it’s the seasons changing the way they have or the pollution in the air, global warming is becoming a bigger problem with each passing day.

I learned a valuable lesson from this article and that is that I too was completely ignorant to just how taxing this is on our environment. I never really thought long term about what everyday things people, myself included, participate in that truly bring us one step closer to a less healthy and successful environment. I am thankful I read this article because at least now I am a bit more knowledgeable about this particular problem in our world. In my opinion nothing is more unsettling than not knowing what is going on in the world in which we live, therefore I am pleased to have read this article and agree that we as occupants of this earth should step up and take care of it.

Not only did the article inform and educate me but it also changed my perspective on this particular subject as well. Before having read this I did not think that global warming was something I should lose sleep over, but now I realize it is a serious problem.
