This paper focuses organizational culture. First it will identify key attributes of organizational culture. Next it will describe cultural change, integrating some of the changes at Trident University International. Then it will discuss when changes occur, who is responsible for facilitating or reshaping the culture. Finally, it will focus on the specific characteristics of cultural models and discuss the one that is accepted by Trident University International. |

An organization’s culture, can greatly impact the individuals that make-up the system and the overall workplace operations. This paper will first define and then identify key attributes of organizational culture. Next, it will discuss when changes occur within an organization, who is responsible for facilitating the change and reshaping the culture. Then, this paper will briefly describe cultural models along with key attributes of each. Finally, the Denison Cultural Model will be applied to the present operations and culture of Trident University International.

According to businessdictionary.com , organizational culture is “the sum total of an organization's past and current assumptions, experiences, philosophy, and values that hold it together, and is expressed in its self-image, inner workings, interactions with the outside world, and future expectations.” Simply put, organizational culture is the way in which an organization typically functions or operates. An organization’s culture is made-up of shared values, attitudes, ideas, norms, and behaviors which are developed over time. Typically, these norms or cultures are adopted and embraced by an organization and in-turn dictates the day-to-day operations within the overall system.
