I understand that Callaway uses the CAD/CAM system to manufacture its golf clubs. What happens, in terms of Callaway meeting delivery dates, if that system breaks down?

Yes, well CAD/CAM allows Callaway to develop computer models to actually carve out club heads for testing. The result is a customer recievig a products that will not crack easily dues to excessive play. Once it is happy with the quality of the clubhead, Callaway mass more clubheads and installs the shaft for a finished product. Callaway offers a complete servicing and warranty package to all of the on-course pro shops, retail golf stores, and sporting goods department stores who sell our product. We support all of our products with a lifetime warranty and closely minitors any product breakage or defects should occur.

1) I think that PING is a more well known name in golf than Callaway, why should we want Callaway in our stores instead of Ping?

Callaway’s powerful image, status and reputation is shown by a recent study Sports Research Inc. According to the survey, Big Bertha clubs have been the greatest single source of revenue and profit the past three years for Pro Golf Discount and The Golf Warehouse, two of the largest golf retail shops in the nation. Another fact in the survey, showed that Callaway was number one in customer service last year.

2) Oshman’s considered stocking Callaway clubs several years ago. When we polled our customers, the response we received that the club did not feel solid when it struck the ball. I know that your company has taken steps to correct this problem. What have you done to notify the public of this change?

Callaway made note of this problem and redesigned all of the clubs they were currently producing. They eliminated the hosel of the clubhead and bored the shaft all the way to the bottom of the clubhead.
