1.0 Executive Summary

This report focuses on Little Creatures Brewing, a medium sized beer company operating in and out of Australia. Four friends in an old abandoned crocodile farm established the company in 2000 and the product was launched in the summer of 2000/2001. The company now competes in an $11 Billion industry with the major competitors being Fosters Group and Kirin Brewery Holdings and Coopers. The three large players hold 94.9% market share, this makes it hard for emerging beer companies such as Little Creatures to capture market share.

The current marketing strategies undertaken by Little Creatures are very basic and have attempted to use some digital marketing to help promote and increase exposure of their brand and products. The current digital trends are, using their website for information and allowing consumers to subscribe to their newsletter. The company also has a Facebook site, which is currently in use. However these strategies are not going to be enough to maintain or increase their market share for the future.

Research shows that everyday, more and more people around the world are using the Internet for many different reasons. As the trends are heading in this direction, it would only be appropriate for Little Creatures to follow the trend and keep up to date with consumer needs, wants and demands.

The following report gives four recommendations on how Little Creatures can utilise the digital world to help increase their sales, promote their products and build relationships with consumers. The recommendations are to rebuild the online store, create a phone application, expand its social media usage and create a twitter page and finally to improve their current newsletter that is sent to subscribers.
