Human trafficking is one of the most sickening crimes committed along with pedophilia
and murder. Trafficking is illegal in most every country and purposes range from modern day
slavery, exploiting for sex and reproduction. Women and children are victimized when it comes
to trafficking because they are more easy, vulnerable and desperate. Trafficking does not
actually require the person or persons to leave their country however once they have arrived to
their destination they are held against their own will. Traffickers also known as pimps,
madam’s target runaway teens, drug addicts, homeless or refugees. The traffic them for sex,
forced labor and bonded labor. They do not have a preference of ethnic or social backgrounds.
Bonded labor is when a person owes a debt for a loan or something. It is the least
popular of trafficking an consist of the persons involved working to pay back “what they owe”
and usually end up working more then what was “owed”.
Sex trafficking is when persons are victimized for facetious promises such as fixed fake
marriages, promises of good jobs, being sold by family for sex trade or kidnapped. The mostly
victimize women children and young adults. Victims face many risks to their health both
physical and mental. Some of the physical risks are drug and alcohol addiction, injuries like
broken bones, concussions and vaginal/anal tearings, STDs, TBIs, other diseases. Some
psychological risks are PTSD, distrust, hatred of men, anxiety and depression.
Forced labor is when victims are forced to work against their own doing. Traffickers
