To me there are no positives to a stereotype, there all judgmental predetermined ways of labeling people before you learn anything about them. Even when you try using a stereotype in a positive aspects the majority of people you say it too or hear you say it will still find it offensive in some way. Your still judging that person based on what you think you know without having a chance to learn more about them. You may not mean to be offensive but stereotypes have such a bad reputation that even ones that sound positive are considered inappropriate these days. People have seem to have gotten less tolerant when it comes stereotypes and take them very serious whether you want them to or not.
