IAW AR 635-200, Chapter 1, Paragraph 1-16, you are being counseled for the above indicated misconduct and/or unsatisfactory duty performance. Continued behavior of this kind could result in separation action being initiated under Chapter 14, Paragraph 15-12a &b, Acts or Patterns of Misconduct, or Chapter 13, Separation for Unsatisfactory Performance, to eliminate you from the U.S. Army before the expiration of your term of service. Further acts of misconduct could result in your being eliminated from the U.S. Army without further counseling IAW Paragraph 1-16, AR 635-200. If you are separated for misconduct, you could receive one of the following discharges: Honorable Discharge: Separation with honor. Issuance is conditioned upon proper military behavior and good performance of duty. Faithful service and performing to the best of your ability with no derogatory information in your military record normally entitles you to an honorable discharge. Where disciplinary problems exist, their extent and seriousness will be considered. Issuance of an Honorable Discharge entitles you to full VA Benefits. General Discharge: Separation under honorable conditions. Generally issued when a Trooper's military record is satisfactory but not sufficiently meritorious to warrant an honorable discharge. Issuance of a General Discharge entitles you to partial VA Benefits. Under Other than Honorable Discharge: Separation under other than honorable conditions. Issued for misconduct, fraudulent entry, security reasons, or for the good of the service when your overall record does not warrant either an Honorable or General Discharge. You may file with the VA to determine your entitlements, if any.
