200-300-Discuss the differences between organic and conventional farming. Are organic foods safer or higher in nutrients than conventional foods? What are some guidelines consumers can use when deciding what to buy?

There are many differences between organic and conventional farming, organic farmers do not use chemical fertilizers, while conventional farmers do. Conventional farmers use pesticides to rid their crops of pests’ in turn organic farmers use traps, birds, and insects and also interrupted their mating rituals. This is just a few listed on the web site listed below. There have been studies that have found there are more nutrients in some varieties of organic foods (as an organic food eater, the word “some” really makes me wonder). Another reason organic is healthier than conventional foods is because when you buy organic you are not in taking all the antibiotics and hormones that are given to the animals. Under the conventional food topic is genetically modifies foods. The definition of genetically modified foods according to the U.S. Department of Energy is “Combining genes from different organisms is known as recombinant DNA technology, and the resulting organism is said to be "genetically modified," "genetically engineered," or "transgenic." GM products (current or those in development) include medicines and vaccines, foods and food ingredients, feeds, and fibers”. And this is way since 2004 I have change my life style and have eaten all natural and organic, but you also have to be careful and know what you are looking for. Changing you like style is a challenge and takes a lot of time and dedication.
