Subject: Bonuses/Project

Dear Manager,

As project manager, it is my responsibility to see that we achieve the financial goals set for the quarter. The financial goal for this quarter was $165,000 and my team’s total was $164,747. We fell short by $253 and my team did not meet goal. As a result of not meeting goal, we will not be receiving our quarterly bonuses. I will be having a team meeting next Friday to go over what we will need to improve on and how to ensure we always reach our goals. I am in the process of implementing a new plan of action so that we can make sure we do receive our bonus for the next quarter.

Please come by the meeting next Friday at 2 p.m. so that you can give us some pointers as well on how to always reach goal.
