Gillette has attained a wide range of products that enable them to cater for a broad range of clientele. These include people from the lower end of the market to the upper end of the market.
Gillette who initiated trade of its products in Indonesia in 1971 has been constantly faced with the market competition of blades and razors from local manufacturers who have been protected by the local government. Gillette has had to find methods to not only cater for local needs but to also educate them of the new trends and benefits of shaving.
This document and case study aims at identifying problems Gillette faces in the grooming goods industry within Indonesia giving suggestions for a marketing plan for Gillette blade and razor products along with other suggestions for Gillette to face in the competition in the long run.
