Comparison between private sector and government sector.

Economic in Malaysia is on recession. Therefore, private sector and government sector are play a very important role to solve this problem. Mostly, private sectors play the role of contribution whereas government sector play the role of management. Both, sectors are important, but still have similarities and differences among them.

Private sector provide job opportunity to the society just as government sector. This will decrease the number of unemployment among the society. Besides, not only private sectors but also government sector provide good and services to increase the welfare of society. Both private and government’s aim to increase the nations income.

In spite of these similarities, private sector and government sectors have differences. One obvious difference is the bureaucracy. For private sectors, while bureaucracies exist in most large organization corporate bureaucracies tend to be smaller and less tradition which bound them those in government . However , job security, stability and sheer size in government sector’s organizations tends to foster strong bureaucratic attitude and resistance to change.

Other areas of difference between private sector and government sector is hiring. Manager in private sector can hire new staff quickly if the business cycle dictates they need more personnel, whereas government sector take one to two years to create and encumber a new position and several month to fill an existing position that has become vacant. In many agencies, managers are only allowed to interview the top three application, who are selected by office of personnel management.

Private sector and government sector different yet alike. But both sector still contribute and manage the economic in our country .As a conclusion , private sector and government sector should corporate to create an alternatives to achieve the nation’s goal.
