Introduction

The Three Gorges Dam, which is located in China on the Yangtze river, has been coined as one of the world’s greatest and most amazing creation. It seems to add to a country that seems to almost pride itself on being the best at everything they do. China continues to explore ideas and ways to maintain its dominance and superiority in the world. With this understanding the question is asked, has this feat been accomplished with the creation of this dam? That is one area we will explore, but we would like to set you on a course that enlightens us of a multitude of topics.

Since the idea, research, and erection of China’s Three Gorges Dam, there have been numerous mentions of concerns and benefits. Some argue the threats created by the dam and the unwanted relocation due to the dam. While others have welcomed and praised what the dam has brought to the land and the country as a whole. So who if anyone is correct and are both the concerns and benefits warranted? We will attempt to present to you, our readers some insight to what we have found regarding those aforementioned topics.
