Huffman Trucking is a company that delivers all types of merchandise including food, electronics, and clothing. Huffman Trucking takes pride in its speedy deliveries, quality service, and reliability. Huffman Trucking has 1,000’s of delivery drivers and needs to keep track of each driver’s location, mileage, and hours on the road. They have installed a geographical information system in all their vehicles to help make this happen.

Huffman Trucking uses a geographical information system to help the business to operate in a fast and organized manner. This is placed in all of their vehicles so that the drivers can access information to addresses at any time no matter what location the driver is at. The driver just types in the address of where they are headed and the geographical information system tells them the best route to take to reach their destination.

With the geographical information system installed, it is much easier for drivers to figure out exactly where they are going, what the distance is in miles, and what the best route to get to the location is. This system helps to keep the business organized and speeds up delivery times as it shows the driver the quickest route.

The system also saves time and money that would be spent if the driver were to take other routes that meant more miles than were necessary and it helps the driver if an address is hard to find. This makes it hard to get lost no matter where the driver’s destination is, speeding up delivery times and making the customers happy.
