A Determined Man

There is one man who deserves to be admired for his determination and accomplishments. His name is Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has been mentally and physically strong enough to accomplish many successes in his life. In bodybuilding his determination was awarded with the titles of Mr. Europe Junior, Mr. Universe and Mr. Olympia. In addition, Arnold became one of the most famous and popular actors in the world. He is now known as a notable politician and governor of California. Schwarzenegger is an excellent example of determination for men as well as women.

Arnold was raised in a strict Catholic household by his parents, who instilled in him a strong sense of ambition. His family was poor and Arnold was determined to achieve the best life possible for his family. From a young age he had the ambition to become the greatest body builder of all time. He spent so much time in the gym that he would collapse from total exhaustion. His dream was finally realized when, at the age of 18, he took part in a body building competition, which was to earn him the title of Mr. Europe Junior. Two years, and much muscle pumping later, Arnold became the youngest Mr. Universe ever. Arnold’s body building success continued. He won the title of Mr. Olympia a total of seven times and of Mr. Universe five times.

Determination brought him movie success as well. He had long planned to move from bodybuilding into acting, as many of his idols had done such as Red Park. His debut in the documentary “Stay Hungry” led to further successes in cult-films such as the “Conan” series and the hugely successful Terminator movies. The image of his emotionless, unstoppable Terminator clad in leather and black shades became iconic. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s acting in the movies set his popularity and success soaring to new heights.
