HR Plan
The company (Wallsmart) is a retail based organization based in Columbia, SC. Items can be shipped internationally, but this will be a domestic operation. They will be selling assorted products to include food, furniture, house wares and clothing. There will be a general manager, shift manager and floor supervisor that will run operations at the store. Tasks will be given to the shift manager and floor supervisor by the general manager. Upon receiving tasks they will pass them on to their subordinates. Ultimate responsibility for the tasks being completed will fall back on the supervisors. Information will be placed on the company website, bulletin board and will also be available from the supervisors.
Surrounding areas are virtually rural. This cuts down on there being a great deal of competition. Actually there is only one general store within 30 miles of our location. In order for this organization to be successful they must have good customer service. This area is steeped in tradition and southern hospitality.
We expect to attract employees to the organization because of our benefits, competitive pay, and opportunities for advancement.
