Base on the scenario, manager are assign an undesirable task to different members of his staff overseas. On any given day in today’s global economy, a manager can interact with colleagues from several different countries or cultures. Globalization refers to economic, social, and cultural connectivity with people in other parts of the world. A manager sends their staff oversea is due to increased foreign assignment, working with people from different cultures and overseeing movement of jobs to countries with low-cost labor.

Manager must choose a schedule for applying reinforce by using reinforcement to encourage the learning and performance of desired behaviors. The most effective schedule of reinforcement for learning new task is continuous reinforcement, which means that reinforcing every occurrence of the desired behavior. Continuous reinforcement is a schedule that reinforces behavior every time it occurs. This produces the most rapid learning targeted behavior. Employees learn desired behavior quickly and, when the reinforcer is removed, extinction also occurs very quickly.

The other four schedules of reinforcement are intermittent because reinforcement does not occur every time or with every behavior. Intermittent reinforcement involves reinforcement of some but not all instances of target behavior. Intermittent reinforcement can be subdivided into interval and ratio schedules and fixed and variable schedules. In an interval schedule, reinforcers are delivered after a certain amount of times has passed. In a ratio schedule, reinforcers are delivered after a certain behaviors have been performed. These two schedules can be further subdivided into fixed (not changing) and variable (constantly changing) schedules. The four types of intermittent reinforcement schedules are fixed interval, variable interval, fixed ratio, and variable ratio.
