Introduction

Strategic planning is an important part of a building a successful organization. Strategic planning is the company’s future visions. Strategic planning allows the company to set goals for how to accomplish success. These goals are important to the company and its management team. These goals allow the management team to know what the plan will be for the future and guide them in planning how to meet those goals. Strategic planning will assist the management team in identifying the company’s vision and mission statements. By defining the vision and mission statements, the company has a purpose and direction that proves the company to be different from competitors in the market. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the vision and mission statements; the values of the organization and what factors assist in determining the strategic plan for Carolyn’s Corner, Thrifts & Gifts.

Define the Business and Customers by Developing a Mission Statement

The name of the business is Carolyn’s Corner, Thrifts & Gifts. The shop would consist of second hand clothes of all styles for the entire family, home appliances, knick knacks, toys, movies (for renting or purchasing), books, and homemade gifts. The homemade gifts would consist of quilts of all sizes, lotion, beautiful flower arrangement, rugs, and pillows. The other neat thing the business offers is personalized poems and photos. This is a shop designed for customers of all ages and every background. Our mission statement is as follows: Treat others as you want to be treated. We are equal in the eyes of the Lord. Carolyn’s Corner is here to give back to the community.
