Based on an evaluation of current market trends and conditions, Team A has determined that the creation of a shoe to aid in the comfort of those with foot conditions will be a good business opportunity. We have also shown the need for our product with examples of how women want and need shoes with comfort and style in mind. In our research we conducted a survey which further proved that our product of a comfortable and stylish women’s shoe is in high demand. We have also explained why we feel this is an unexercised niche market that could lead your investors experience mass success and profit. Now we will go further by illustrating the key areas of marketing for our product. These key areas include product, pricing strategies, place, customer relationships, promotion, and technology.

Distribution Channel

To begin we need to select an appropriate distribution channel for our product. A distribution channel is a path through which goods and services flow in one direction (from vendor to the consumer), and the payments generated by them that flow in the opposite direction (from consumer to the vendor). (Distribution Channel, 2012) The distribution channel is one of the classic “Four P’s of marketing” which falls under “Placement”. It is a key element in any marketing strategy and helps to expand your reach and grow your revenue. With our business we will use both direct channels and indirect channels of distribution. We will have direct channels of distribution through our website which will sell our products directly to our customers. We will then use indirect distribution through retailers who can sell our products in their brick and mortar stores as well as their online stores. This will allow us to reach the most customers possible. Using the indirect distribution of retailers will help get the word out about our product. People will come in to look for shoes and discover that we offer a stylish and comfortable option.
