Evolution of Formal Organization

Micahs organization which is a formal buerocratic organization is likely to evolve as many other organizations have done over the past several centuries. To understand how Micahs organization can evolve to become more flexible and modern we must first understand how formal organizations started and evolved in the past. In history early organizations were controlled by the elite. In addition early organizations lacked quick long distance communication and and had to operate based on the local cultural traditions. Early organizations had developed a model designed to help them perform tasks more efficiently call beruaracay. Bureacracies is a top down system were the top leaers completely guide every part of the organization and set firm rules and regulations (Macionis, 2011).

To stay effective beurocratic organization would regularly revise there policies to increase efficiency. But there are specific traits in bueracracitc organizations such as Micahs that are constant and keep the organization efficient. The first trait is that there activities are distinct and specialized. The second trait is that the orgazational hierarchy is clearly defined according to position. The third trait is that the berocratic organization has norms or rules and regultiosn that are clearly defined. The fourth trait is that they have membership criterias that require the members to have the technical competence needed to complete the expected tasks (Macionis, 2011).

The fifth trait is that relationships is the organization are secondary and very selective. The sixth trait is that they have very formal communication often put into writing. The seventh and las trait buerocratic organizations have is that they are very task and focus oriented.
