INTRODUCTION
TITLE OF THE ARTICLE: - “CREATING A NATURAL PLAYSCAPE FOR CHILDREN”
AUTHUR: - The author of the article used in this assignment is Clark Kugler, he is the president of “The Adventurous Child”. Ever since 1968, The Adventurous Child has specialized in creating outdoor classrooms and preschool equipment for children ages six months to six years.
The aim of this article is to point out the benefits/advantages of outdoor learning in preschools.
The key argument in this context is “THE NEED FOR CHILDREN AT PRESCHOOLS TO BE MORE INVOLVED IN OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES “
According to the writer, it was concluded that it is actually more beneficial for children in preschools to have natural playscapes with outdoor learning equipment. The writer specifically places lots of emphasis on the rewards that can be achieved if children/toddlers at preschools are given the opportunity to engage in various outdoor activities.
Moreover, we cannot dispute the fact that playing and learning outdoors is beneficial to children; most especially "pre-schoolers". The idea of looking at outdoor learning as enrichment and not just as recreation is a good vantage point at preschool learning. Bringing children closer to nature has numerous advantages on its own, at least; it could be seen as a good step to reducing global warming.
