Jeong Gook Kim, who is from Daegu, South Korea, is 20 years old. He was born in a city where it rarely snows. He is attending a college in Incheon studying bioengineering, but he is thinking about changing his major to Medicine. And now he is learning English at CELOP in Boston University. Believe or not, Jeong Gook is the founder and manager of the basketball team of CELOP even though he just got here several weeks ago. Since Jeong Gook is living on south campus, he has to walk to the classroom for fifteen minutes everyday. Because he has to learn English abroad, he spent his Lunar New Year alone at his dorm while his whole family was celebrating back in Korea. What a hard-working but poor kid.

Jeong Gook was born in a really warm family that has 4 family members on January 1st 1993. They are Jeong Gook’s father, who is a doctor; Jeong Gook’s mother, who is a lecturer; Jeong Gook’s younger sister, who is 18 years old and attending a high school, and Jeong Gook himself. Jeong Gook’s parents are always so nice to him that sometimes that allow Jeong Gook to drive the car that belongs to his mother back in Korea. He also has six cousins, all of whom are younger than him and two of whom live in Qingdao, which is a mid east city in China. Jeong Gook himself also has visited Qingdao several times to meet his cousins, and he loves the sweet and sour pork there in Qingdao.

Jeong Gook really likes travelling and trying the unique local food all around the world. Besides China, he has also visited Japan, India, Australia, Germany, France, and Spain before he came to the US. Among those countries he has been to, he likes Spain the most for the delicious food and the dancing festival there. For here in Boston, he and I usually go to a fantastic restaurant that is on Commonwealth Avenue after our core class. But as a Korean, his favorite is Korean food.
