The supply chain is made up of all the activities required to deliver products to the customer, from designing product to receiving orders, procuring materials, marketing, manufacturing, logistics, customer service, receiving payment and so on. Anyone, anything, anywhere that influences a product price, quality, information exchange or delivery, among other activities, is part of the supply chain. Many companies today are fighting with the tactics and strategies that related to the supplying of goods and services. Where can they get the supply from? And whom should they get it from? As a supply chain managers, to keep the organization for long-term operational success and profitability, the manager have to understand the five basic step of the supply chain management to make the right decision when if come to supplying goods and services. The five step of supply chain management are planning, sourcing, Making, delivery and return.
