The first leadership concept displayed in the movie is the DiSC Personality Profile. Shrek possesses a Dominance personality. He is a high D as he was daring, risk tasking and decisive. He took up the challenge to rescue Princess Fiona even though he knew that it was going to be a tough battle. At one part of the movie, he had to cross the bridge with Donkey that was hanging on top of a lake of lava in order to reach the castle where Princess Fiona is at. He was brave and daring to take the risk and crossed the bridge without any hesitation. Throughout the movie, he had also encountered dozens of obstacles, but he persevered and won more than he imagined.

An example of someone who possesses a Dominance personality is my CCA (Chinese Orchestra) leader in Secondary School. She is forceful, strong, energetic, determined and highly competitive. She led us through many major and regional competitions and our achievements were constantly improving. This made us the most popular and well-known CCA in my secondary school and we will always have a high number of new students joining our CCA every year. She is driven to win and does not give up easily. Her determination motivated all of us to become more united and work towards the same direction. Eventually, we achieved a Gold award for Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) which was the last competition before I graduated.

The second leadership concept displayed in the movie is Moral Leadership. Shrek is a moral leader. While Donkey was distracting the fire-breathing dragon, Shrek could have just escaped with Princess Fiona as it could have been easier to escape, with Donkey being the sacrifice since Donkey has of no value to Shrek. He was only responsible for saving Princess Fiona as he had promised Lord Farquad that he will save Princess Fiona in exchange for his swamp. He did the morally right thing by protecting his follower, Donkey, instead of leaving him in the lurch. He made sure he had taken Donkey with him together...
