B. Industrial Use
V. Disadvantages
A. Maintenance cost
B. Large area coverage
VI. Conclusion
Solar energy has always been present in the existence of the earth. It is only in the new millennia that the people managed to know how to manipulate its power. The sun, being ever present, sustains life in the planet. But that is not the only way it could be used. Another way of utilizing solar energy is by converting it into electricity. In the present state of the world’s economy, the world is running out of conventional fuels such as fossil fuel and the prices are skyrocketing, which is why alternative sources of energy are needed. Before, solar energy was not given attention to because of all the low cost energy imported from third world countries such as fossil fuel. But recently, nonrenewable resources are becoming less as time passes and the discovery of new sources is becoming scarce. Therefore, industrialized countries are focusing on the research o how to utilize solar energy. (Takla, 1990) The potential in using solar energy is inexhaustible and it does not cause pollution unlike fossil fuel. The fact that prices are increasing is not just because fuel is running out; it is also indicating that the demand for an alternative energy is rising. (Solar energy history.net, 2008)...
