Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet

Part 1

For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.

Physical health:

Physical health included things such as body size and shape, sensory aculty and responsiveness, and how susceptible to dieses and disorders you are.

For my physical activities I love to go on long walks and just think about things, I also like to go to the park and play with my daughter.

Social health:

Is the ability to have satisfying interpersonal relationships, including interactions with others, and having appropriate daily behaviors in society.

I have decent social health I try to get out with my friends at least once a week and get tighter and do something. I find this to be a major stress reliever and a great way just to have a good time.

Intellectual health:

This is the ablitity to think clearly, think critically, and use your brian effectively to meet lifes challenges.

When doing just about anything in life I find that intellectual health is there. When making a grocie list you must think critically to know what all you need. This process then turns into intellectual health if you think about it.

Environmental health:

This refers to how much you appreciate the environment around you in which you live in. And what roles a person play to preserve and protect there environment.

This plays a role in my life because I do care what the world looks like. I do not like to see people litter especially when there is a trash can right there. So I would say this plays a role because I do care and do not litter.

Emotional health:

This is how you express emotions when they are appropriate and controlling them when they are not appropriate. This includes self-esteem, self- confidence, trust, love and many...
