1. What does the movie reveal to you about the life and person of Jesus Christ? How does it help you in knowing more about Jesus?

The movie was so informative in a way that we learned lots of stuff in connection with the birth of Jesus Christ. It was a drama that focused on the Holy Family or the period in which Mary and Joseph's journeyed to Bethlehem for the birth of Jesus. The movie showed the family background of both Mary and Joseph. There were also several famous people in the bible that were portrayed in the movie. At the first part in the movie it was shown that Mary lives in the small town of Nazareth. She is still young and she used to play with the other children of the town, at the same at her young age she was also working in order to help and support her poor family. The people of the town can barely pay the king's taxes. When one of their neighbors loses his daughter to involuntary servitude to pay off a tax debt, Mary is forced into a betrothal by her parents to Joseph, a young homebuilder who has had his eye on Mary. They're told they must not consummate the marriage for a year. Mary's not happy with the arrangement. Mary barely knows Joseph; she certainly does not love him at all. They were not strangers because they live in one place but they don’t know each other that much. Until one day an angel showed to Mary telling her she's been chosen by God to bear the Son of God, who will save their people. Mary certainly agree to the request of the angel and from that moment the life of Mary changed because she will be conceiving the son of God and it’s a great responsibility for her to fulfill.
