Home Building Industry Overview

The macro economy can play an instrumental role on small and large industries alike. Some industries are not as affected by the state of the macro economy, while other industries are noticeably impacted by the macro economy. Industries that are more heavily impacted by the macro economy are the automotive industry, the home building industry, steel industries, the airlines industry, etc. When the United States’ macro economy is considered good, these industries that are heavily impacted by the macro economy are normally growing and increasing profits in their appropriate industry; this also hold true when the macro economy is experiencing a recession, these same industries begin to see a decline in their aggregate demand because of the conditions of the macro economy.

History of the Industry

One industry that is impacted by the macro economy in particular is the home building industry. In the last century, their have been many advances in the home building industry in terms of home design (some of these changes have been influenced by various cultures and some changes have been influenced by the evolution of the industry) even the way consumers finance their homes have changed drastically. The home building industry is one of the largest industries in the United States today.

The home building industry has evolved over the years to work along side the government and financial institutions. The industry constantly goes through changes and is closely regulated by our federal government.
