In Robert Frost poem The Road Not Taken I found that this poem is talking about a traveler who took a different path then the other travelers. You have two roads diverged in a wood one traveler took the less road while the others took the other road. I feel that the speaker is trying to say is that don’t follow the path that others are following be a leader.

In the Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening I think it’s talking about someone maybe the speaker stops in the woods to picture a beautiful scene on a snowy evening. The speaker pictures the wooded area dark and deep and from a distance they come across a farmhouse filled with warmth and love.

In both poems you can see the conflict in the speakers tone. In the Road Not Taken the speaker is saying be a leader. Don’t follow the other travelers that may lead you to the wrong road but I will lead myself to the right path. The other poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening conflict is this is a journey through life and you have to face difficult things in life. If you are strong enough you can make anything go in the right direction. Both poems deal with nature with both poems dealing with woods and the peaceful sounds of the outdoors.

The compare and contrast of those two poems is one is dealing with not following others just be a leader. Stand your own grounds and people may follow you. The other simply talks about the beauty of nature and the warm feeling in the snowy evening.
