Giving the Audience the unexpected :
Practice delivery, and watch your body language
Put in natural laughs, and do not overdue the jokes
Use of powerful simple props will keep one audience attention
Have great slides for the presentation
No need to talk big talk, just keep it professional and simple
When approaching this assignment, I thought uh-oh another long read. The reading was pretty simple, and informative. I received good information from the article. My reading setting was quiet, and relaxed. I had the kids off to school, and sipped on my cup of coffee while at my desk. I had to take advantage of this moment. Many mornings I have to do so many things. Not this morning. I’d done everything that was needed my attention the night before. To minimize the distractions I turn the television down low, closed the blinds, and dimmed the lights. I leave the tv on so it is not completely quiet. Just to keep something going. I'm used to some kind of noise. I guess it’s a habit needing to be worked on. I close the blinds so I cannot see everything go past the window to stay concentrated.
I became a little emotionally involved. Concentration takes for me to become more involved in the task I'm completing. The reading response I employed was staying professional, but simple. Use powerful props to catch the audience attention, and make sure the slides do not bore them. Also to there's no need to use big vocabulary. Some may forget what I'm truly trying to present. A few vocabulary terms that caught my eye were enlightening.
