Abstract

Diversity Awareness is a hot topic and still is an issue in our everyday life, effective leadership will come to play an important role and prove that diversity makes for good business relations.

As times change and people evolve, the topic of diversity awareness have been addressed time and time again, and it is clear that only true leaders can accomplish the adaptation of differences within the human race by not making distinctions between the people they lead.

We are all not equal, many of us come from a different background, have different religious beliefs, have disabilities or are part of a minority group, a true leader should focus on more than skin color, but rather the qualifications of the people they lead, and their capabilities.

True leaders are aware and are also part of a diverse society in which every person counts.

Nowadays it would be considered a hate crime to one’s sense of belonging in an ever-changing society, embracing a diversity group of people, being aware of it continuous change is an important part of leaders today.

Diversity awareness is a trait that an effective leader should posses and firmly believe in, as times change and people evolve, the topic of diversity had touched all of us, in many cases discrimination has become part of our everyday lives because we are different, in a business or workplace environment only true leaders can incorporate the diversity that is all of us, a true leader will not reject a suitable follower only because his or her skin color is different , a true leader will look more into the follower qualifications and add the opportunity of embracing a new culture, a new set of ideas and therefore an increase on the interplay between people and the organizations where they work or plan to work.
