This report describes the internship I spent at Kenya Electricity Generating Company Ltd, Insurance Department.
The report will give a brief description about the industrial attachment.
I thank the Almighty God for granting me this great opportunity to learn and grow in the field of my career.
This attachment has brought me to a close touch with matters pertaining to insurance, which cannot be obtained in an ordinary class environment.

Kenya Electricity Generating Company, KenGen is the electric power generator in Kenya, Producing about 80 percent of electricity consumed in the country.
The company uses various sources to generate electricity ranging from hydro, geothermal, thermal and wind. Hydro is the leading source, with an installed capacity of 761.28 megawatts, which is about 53% of the country’s total installed capacity. It sells the power in bulk to Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) which distributes to consumers.
