Introduction

Kudler Foods Inc. continues to offer world-class products suitable for global consumption. The organization understands the vital importance of developing a relevant product launch plan that encompasses a clear product description, product positioning, targeting goals, market needs analysis including market potential and market growth research in combination with a inclusive SWOT analysis, a review of the competition, determining market objectives and strategy, pricing objectives, while creating a viable marketing communications plan including public relations perspectives, a distribution strategy, reviewing important financial information through budgeting, and including applicable marketing research. Kudler Foods will discuss in detail each necessary component in an effort to successfully implement their new product of extra-virgin olive oil.

Product Description

Olives are one of the oldest foods known originating in the regions of Crete or Syria around seven thousand years ago. Extra-virgin olive oil comes from virgin oil production only, contains no more than 0.8% acidity and it is judged to have a superior taste. "Extra virgin is the highest quality and most expensive olive oil classification. It should have no defects and a flavor of fresh olives" (Olive Oil Times, 2012). Olive oil is a type of fat obtained from an olive. An olive is a crop from a traditional olive tree. Extra virgin oil is produced by grinding whole olives and extracting the oil by mechanical means and not through a chemical process without the use of any solvents and under temperatures that will not degrade the oil.
