I am personally against free trade because I believe it is a big reason that our jobs are going to China. Companies are moving all the jobs there because the people there will work for a lot less money and they will work longer hours. Also, the company’s do not have to give any benefits to the employee’s so it just makes sense for them to move the jobs there because they save a lot of money. Next, the problem of jobs leaving the U.S. is just going to get worse over time until something is done about it. Another problem is that we offer free trade but, a lot of countries we trade free with do not let us trade for free to them and I do not think that this is fair.

In the article I found “How WTO Disputes Could Hurt the U.S. Business” it talks about how the Obama Administration plans to initiate disputes about WTO with China and European restrictions. They are hoping that bringing the disputes to the table that it will help reduce barriers but, this could take one to three years. Until something is done about this the U.S. economy is most certainly going to get worse.
