I am writing to express my interest in your Sales Manager position at your Parkdale Mall location in Beaumont, Texas. I am a currently pursuing an Associate of Business degree from Kaplan University, this along with my past work history, positive attitude, and energetic personality makes me ideally suited for this position. I posses the following skills:

With regards to building revenue, during my past employment with a major shoe retailer, I successfully developed and implemented an “in-store strategy” to display the benefits of a particular product that had consistently sold in very low volume for months. My display and interaction with customers made the product seem both interesting and aesthetically appealing. As a result, sales of that product were up almost 200 percent within a thirty day period.
I am also skillful at building talent. Also during my employment there, I was designated as a “crew leader” Members of my crew varied in experience from two weeks to over five years; many of which were characterized as “marginal” employees at best. I work with each one individually to help them identify both their selling strengths and weakness and implement and help develop a team strategy for increasing sells. As a result of my efforts my team has lead each quarter in combined sales since implementing the plan. They are three other crews in which we compete internally with.
