Diabetes

Type one and Type two Diabetes has to do with the level sugar (glucose) in the blood. Type one is commonly found in children, and is where the body doesn’t produce insulin. Type Two Diabetes is adult onset, and is insulin resistant or the body doesn’t produce enough. What cause the insulin resistant is not known, however some of the leading factors of getting the disease is genetic and family history, lack of physical exercise, excess body fat, and low fiber diet.

There are unknown risk factors for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). For Type Two Diabetes (T2D) the risk factors are weight, fat distribution, age, race, and inactivity. According to the Mayo clinic being overweight primary cause of developing Type Two Diabetes (T2D), a body stores fat primary in the stomach area, the risk of developing Type Two Diabetes (T2D) is also greater. Immediate family who has diabetes is also a risk because it could be due to genetics and family history. The less physical activity a person is also a risk due the exercise helps manage a person weight. For some unknown reason races that are not white have a higher risk of developing Type Two Diabetes. Age also is a determining factor cause people who are over 45 are at a greater risk to do lover activity level.

Lifestyles changes that I can do to limit my chances of getting Type Two Diabetes (T2D). I can increase my activity level; I’m currently a sedentary level, and I don’t do much physical activity over the average light housework. I eat wheat breads but my pasta and baked goods are made with white flour. I get a few benefits, with increasing my veggies, and whole grains. I get a high dosage of fiber. With veggies I get more vitamins and minerals. With whole wheat I get a lower risk of cancer, better weight management, and regular digestive track.

It is recommended that a person get at least 3 hours a week of exercise. Women who do strength training is at a lower risk of...
