Abstract of Change and E-Learning Usage

Abstract

Change is a terminology that can be applied to any dynamics within an organization or within someone’s personal life. Our textbook Employee Training and Development states that “in addition to acquiring and training knowledge workers, companies need to be able to adapt to change” (Noe p. 16). After evaluating that declaration we should be more aware that change is of good quality to everyone. The textbook defines change as “the adoption of a new idea or behavior by a company”. If we take a profound look at the word “change,” we could be more aware of the given definition and how change can shift the dynamics of things and situations in a positive rewarding way. If we survey or workforce we can see how “change” is heavily impacting the dynamics of training and development. When companies adapt to change and allow it to take its course we can notice how E learning and usage of current technology are making companies more profitable because they were open to “change”. This paper will be comprised of ideations of change from the book Leading Change written by John P Kotter, and how adapting to change companies can grow with E-Learning and the latest technology to help the training department. I will make use of two articles that deals with E learning and technology. The first one is Thinking about e-Learning written by Bela Markus, Hungary and the second one is How Is Technology Impacting the Changes in the 21st Century Workplace? written by Ruth Mayhew and Demand Media.

As I begin to articulate in my mind how adapting to change companies can increases there awareness of E-learning and other latest technology to aid in there on the job training for there employees the book Leading Change came to mind.
