Self-Evaluation Essay

This year I learned a lot of things in this course. I improved my verbal skills and my writing skills. Now I’m not afraid to talk in front of a class as I used to in the beginning of the year. Also, my writing skills aren’t as they used to, now I am a much better writer. This course was very helpful I never thought I would improve that much from that course.

My favorite project was the fallacy project. I really enjoyed working on it. The project that my group and I created was like monopoly however we called it Fallaopoly. It had the same purpose of monopoly but instead of buying properties they would answer a fallacy question. Also, I had a favorite speaking assignment which was the Discussion Leader. It was my favorite because that project was the project that made me not to be afraid anymore of public speaking and because of it in any other class I would talk in front of everyone and not be afraid as I used to.

The least favorite thing I enjoyed this year was the Thursday circle because I think that it was useless and unnecessary. I don’t believe it was helpful and I think it was a waste of our time. That was the only thing I least enjoyed this year.

As I said before the Discussion Leader was one of my favorite assignments. That was the most useful project because I got me to not be afraid of standing in front of my classmates and give a presentation to room full of people.

I think the most valuable skill I learned this year was not to be afraid when I’m giving a speech in front of many people. I don’t think I learned something that isn’t valuable this year because every assignments I learn something that helped me improve either my verbal skills or my writing skills.

The skills I learned helped me a lot in other classes. For an example, in biology we had to give presentations in class and I wasn’t afraid to stand up in front of everyone. In English we write a lot of essays and ESW helped me improve in my writing skills. So, in the...
