How Did I Get Here?

Homelessness encompasses many complexities and circumstances in the plight of homelessness. Often times one must choose from food, shelter and meeting other basic needs. Homelessness is attached to poverty, eroding employment opportunities and other factors that are inextricably linked. There are stories for experiences of homelessness. While some homeless groups expose homelessness through the lived experience of substance abuse. The perceptions and causes of homelessness encompass the history on the attribution beliefs of other social problems as well in society. However, ending homelessness would necessitate focus on solutions to homelessness. Further investigation indicates that homelessness and mental health and other existing social interventions enhance the possibilities for positive outcome. Homelessness does not see race, religion, gender differences, or financial standing. Unfortunately, homelessness can consume men, women and children.

How Did I Get Here?

Why are people homeless? The perceptions and stereotypes of people experiencing homelessness present some challenges socially. There is a collective action in focusing on the understanding of circumstances of cause. There is a crucial aspect of the social facts and behaviors. The social attributions are often viewed as consequences and choices of individual deficits. The trends that are largely responsible for homelessness is first the shortage of affordable housing, poverty, eroding employment opportunities and a decline in public assistance as well as other factors that are inextricably linked.
