Re: Team Restructure
As outlined in the Kudler Fine Foods strategic plan’s SWOT analysis, there are several opportunities that KFF can take advantage of in order to successfully grow the company. Those growth opportunities include expanding the presence of KFF throughout southern California and into select areas on the east coast. Other growth opportunities include expanding the product line to include frequently requested hard- to- find items. The final item and the subject of this proposal is the recommendation that KFF expand their services to include complete catering services for our customers.
In the past, KFF has provided catering services to our customers only upon request. The customer response to this service has been very positive. KFF provides for all aspects of the catering services which include delivery, set-up and clean-up. Event catering often show a profit margin of 25% or better.
KFF has decided to restructure their operation in order to expand and benefit from the popularity of this service.
In order to take on these additional duties and take full advantage of this great opportunity, several steps will need to be taken. The first of these steps is to hire sufficient staff to be able to ensure the success of the expanded role and responsibilities.
The extended duties of my team will require five new hires to include one first level manager position, an assistant manager and three full- time caterer’s assistants.
