I. Company Background

SAP is brand name of the world’s leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Recruit 121 is a global SAP staffing firm with locations in Cardiff, Wales; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Chicago, IL and United States headquarters located in La Jolla, CA. Recruit 121 does not employ full-time SAP professionals, but rather recruits independent workers from their primary recruiting network based on the needs of their clients. This paper will provide an operational analysis for the company Recruit 121.

Recruit 121 has a domestic network of more than 12,000 referenced and qualified SAP candidates (30,000 candidates globally) (Recruit 121). Recruit 121 maintains relationships with the top independent talent in the marketplace to locate the most suitable and cost effective candidates for their customers within twenty-four hours of receiving a request. They have fifteen employees in the United States including a team of six recruiters. The recruiting (candidate development team) receives resume and preference updates at least once per quarter from the candidates in their network. This ensures that all candidate information is current, allowing the team to source quickly and professionally.

The President and CEO, Chris Holcroft, has been involved in the informational technology (IT) staffing industry for over twenty years. In the early nineties, he was tasked with developing the SAP practice for a large European staffing firm. With his entrepreneurial spirit, Holcroft saw the demand for a firm with the internal competence to identify the right candidate in a timely fashion, so he focused solely on the evolving SAP marketplace.
