Personality Interview

Introduction

When I began this interview I was not sure what the outcome was going to be. As I approached the person I had in mind to interview I was not sure he was going to accept my request, but much to my surprise he did.

My interviewee is a 49-year-old White male who has reservation about turning 50 in the couple of weeks. He has become a very close friend to me over the last few years and as I stated before he agreed to this interview and said he was more than willing to help me out.

The whole interview process went as I expected it would. With me knowing my interviewee for quite some time so I could have possibly taken the test on his behalf with close to the same outcome. However that would not have given me the opportunity to obtain the true outcome, and see the look on his face when I gave him the results of the test. I personally have taken many types of personality tests over the years and the conclusions are generally the same. The same cannot be said for my interviewee, he is self-employed when he started out it was him and him alone but with faith and knowing the person that he is his business has grown and is still growing.

Knowledge and Retention

When I asked my friend how he preferred to study be it in quiet setting like the library or a place where there are many distractions, his response was quiet. He said though distractions are acceptable for some he needed the extra quiet as sometimes it takes him longer to comprehend what he is reading as opposed to distraction. Unlike me I do not mind the distraction I seem to concentrate better when there is distraction. This is not always the case there are times when I have come home and needed and will not turn on the television; however if the television is already I am more likely not turn to turn it off.
