Juggling Two

Relationships are hard to maintain stable as it is, but having to juggle them with college may be as hard as rocket science. Many couples can support each in positive ways, while others distract each other from their studying, schoolwork, and add to high stress levels. College is a very important step to take when planning for a successful life in the future, yet a relationship can jeopardize it. Juggling a relationship with student’s responsibilities may create many distractions that may impact many in negative ways.

To start, every couple enjoys spending time with their loved one. Spending time together is one of the best ways to keep the mind off of stressful work that needs to be completed. The sound of forgetting homework sounds amazing but it brings up plenty of procrastination. Now that school started couples are busy trying to juggle everything. When it comes to having a chance to hang out, the pile of homework that needs to be finished can wait. Sometimes skipping school to go the beach also sounds ten times better then having to sit in a three-hour class. Important dates that need to have more attention paid to, are being forgotten because time with the boyfriend or girlfriend seem much more appealing.

Secondly, to say one of the two in the relationship is immature and can’t seem to understand that homework is more important then talking on the phone can bring up some relationship problems. In the eyes to the immature one everything is a problem. Problems as in the mature one decides to study rather then talk on the phone. Some times very insecure thoughts come to mind. For example, “maybe he doesn’t like me anymore” or “she’s probably going to see someone else today”. Thoughts that come from nothing that ends up being trust issues.
