IGGY’S BREAD OF THE WORLD CASE

1) The Ivanovichs created the atmosphere in their organization very similar to family’s one. They considered their employees to be the part of common deal. They announced the iggy’s mission as to make breads of the highest quality and then deliver them daily to our customers with the highest standards of service and integrity. “our priority is to learn to work well together, and to create an environment that fosters communication and personal growth. honesty, mutual respect, sharing and caring for the people and the planet are the values on which our business is based”. As we know the basic value of founders of the company usually define the corporate culture.

a) Ludmila instituted “clean and happy hands” rules. Ivanovichs believed that the really good bread must be made by hands and with good mood.

b) She tried to involv employees in the business. She offered English language classes for foreigners who wanted to learn English.

c) The Ivanovichs made birthday parties of their daughters’ where all employees were invited and brought birthday cake for each employee’s birthday. As well as they celebrated with employees Such behavior helped to every employee to fill himself the part of the family.

d) They cared of the health of employees. For example, weekly massage or free acupuncture for those who wanted to quit smoking

e) They tried all employees understand that they were an integral part of the organization. Igor and Ludmilla encouraged employees to work in different departments so they understand the flow of the process better.

f) They tried to unite their multicultural team through soccer game.

g) They preferred to hire people without experience and to train bakers in Iggy’s way.

Such organizational culture is very productive when company is small and doesn’t have any intension to grow. But when the company is growing it becomes difficult to keep the family...
